SDG 13: Climate Action - Act Now for a Sustainable Tomorrow
- Live speech at the UN Climate Change Conference in Bonn, calling for urgent actions to mitigate climate impacts
From fire-making to new energy vehicles, energy revolutions have always been the driving force behind the rapid development of human productivity. With the depletion of fossil fuels and negative environmental impacts, renewable energy is seen as a core solution to global climate change challenges. In 2022, nearly 80% of the world's newly installed power capacity came from renewables. Technologies like wind and solar energy can reduce billions of tons of carbon emissions annually and create millions of green jobs, driving sustainable global economic growth.
